Chapel Hill Wedding Venue feature: Old Lystra Inn

Camaraderie.

It is one of the best things in life.  Networking events aren't always easy, simple and can be hard to get yourself to go but it can also be a place where you get to invest and get invested in!  At a recent networking event, that if I'm being frank I was nervous to go to, I got the great chance to meet a lot of great wedding professionals, had some great conversations and was allowed the opportunity to shoot an amazing up and coming wedding venue in the area.

Today I'm going to share the photos from that beautiful wedding venue!  If you are looking around for some place new, beautiful and able to fit your needs take a look at Old Lystra Inn.  The team there is not only amazing but will make you feel like you arrived home!

Love the modernization but still farmhouse feel

Comfy and cozy and easy to make exactly what you need!

Even if you never used the kitchen to cook it is SO PRETTY!

The back patio is just too cute... can't help but see a night time party filled with dancing!

View of the master suite, some details that are just heavenly!

So much grounds to play around with... couldn't help but take in the convenient location while still a secluded feel!

Campbell Lodge Durant Nature Park: Raleigh NC: Robert and Erica

The laughter could be heard from the hall as I made my way to see Erica and the girls on the wedding day.  The door still closed but the joy was bursting open.  I walk in on Erica surrounded by all her bridesmaids, mother, grandmother, and mother in law all talking, laughing, and enjoying all the glamour of being dolled up by the very talented Eye Do Makeup crew.

Erica, detailed, organized and ready to get this day going, between laughing was rattling off check lists making sure the day had everything in rolling as intended, showing off the ease in which Erica seems to take on multitasking.

The beautifully detailed, ivory, lace, off the shoulder, dress and the gorgeous beaded, laced veil, compliments of David's Bridal and the elegant bouquet created by Flowers on Broad were built to make Robert swoon over his beautiful wife to be!  And it didn't disappoint, Robert's face filled with joy and love as Erica made her way to him down the cascading stairs at Campbell Lodge back terrace.

The ceremony was beautiful filled with small details of their love and family including a beautiful moment for their five year anniversary where they will open a bottle of wine and the letters they wrote to their future selves.

Thanks to the joy of the day, love of family and friends, sugar high from the delicious naked spiced wedding cake by Cakes by Francis and the talented Frank at Bunn DJ Co, once the dance floor opened it was never empty till the final cords of the last song of the night.

From laughter filled moments before the ceremony, to the seemingly endless smiles of the bride and groom during the wedding to the full out dance celebration that made up the reception,  joy never seemed to leave this wedding.

I am so honored and grateful to have been with you Erica and Robert on your wedding day!  Thank you for allowing me to be a part of your joy.

JC Raulston Arboretum: Raleigh NC: Caleb and Kelsey Learned Wedding

It isn't often I get to come along side other photographers and work together.  This past weekend was just that.  My first ever collaborative photography experience. I'm not sure if I'd sign up for more but it was joy to have a new experience.

An even greater joy was to be with Kelsey on her wedding day.  Her endless smiles and inviting laughter was wonderful to be around.  I'm ever glad to have been allowed to be a part of such a special day and I'm glad to be able to show you a bit of the magic that was Caleb and Kelsey's wedding!

There is not much missing in beauty at the JC Raulston Arboretum but you add some flowers and a Mermaid wedding dress... Can't go wrong!

Kelsey absolutely LOVED her flowers.  She was adorably smitten with the rose wedding bouquet

This group of ladies was so cute I couldn't help but smile!

I love how none of these ladies could stop smiling!

Metallic wedding shoes?  I think so after this pair!

I love when a bride places her bridesmaid's comfort so high!  Kelsey allowed each of her bridesmaids to pick out any dress they so desired just asking that it be in the family of color.  As a result not only did each of her girls get a dress fitting to them, it ended up with a beautiful look of cohesion but not canned!  I'm in love with it.

Kelsey you made a stunning bride and I'm ever glad to have been a part of your wedding day!

Vino Oasis: Stem NC: Megan and Ryan

One of the best parts of my job is being invited in on such a special day for wonderful couples.  Not just being honored with capturing their moments but also being included in the actual celebration with the couple.

When I was invited to photograph Ryan and Megan's reception I was honored but I did understand the full impact of the honor.  If you ever meet Ryan and Megan you'll see that any and all photos of them just in full out joy and laughter is how they live their life.  They are very sweet to others and each other.  Appreciative and just really sweet.

At the reception Ryan got up with Megan at his side and made his way through one of the most touching speeches I've ever had the privileged of hearing.  He spoke of he and his bride meeting at the classes he taught and how nervous he was to teach and that he selected the "girl in the pink shirt" like he was only teaching her to help him make his way through this challenge in his life.

He went on to speak clearly about how the people that were invited impacted one or both of them individually or as a couple.  That he was honored to have each in his life.  It was touching, heartfelt and just an amazing representation of how giving Ryan and Megan are in their life.

I'm deeply honored to be able to present to you some photos from their reception for you to enjoy.

Their reception was held at this gem in Stem NC: Vino Oasis
