Equipment: Newest member in my "family"

Do you ever have one of those moments where you know what you are talking about but everyone else around you thinks you just said gibberish?  Well, that's me and Chris.  I will start a conversation with, "So I definitely think I should go with the satin; what do you think?"  Chris' eyes get wide and his brows furrow a bit and I am just staring at him expectantly thinking "so...?"

I realized that is kind of where I am with you all, the few people out there looking over my little blog.  I haven't given you much context to my work and my equipment so I thought I would start to day with my newest edition:

One of my goals for this year was to get a new lens.  I mused over the options and landed on the 85mm 1.4!  I purchased it at the beginning of the summer and I have fallen in love.  I mean people talked about the 85mm but I didn't think the hype would live up to reality.

I slowly pulled back the cords holding the bag in place to reveal my new adventure.  There it sat in front of me.  Used and beautiful!  I broke it out and started snapping pictures.  It seems so silly that it would revolutionize how I shoot but it has.  It allows me such variety in the looks of my photos.  The amazing glass allows me another lens that I could push to get adventurous and creative art pieces at each and every wedding... well so far and I hope I could only get better!

After playing with this lens I break it out during prep, first looks, detail shots and of during shooting my glamours couples on their wedding day!

Live. Love. Loud.
