Date Night: Christmas Edition

I'm more than a little Christmas Crazy... I'll admit it with no shame.  I have reigndeer antlers, an elf hat and a light up necklace that I totally break out... I have tried to convince Chris to let me dress the car up to no avail.  Every year Chris puts up with my crazy and takes me out to do Christmas Dates (and being me you can do the cheap!) so I thought I would share a few of our traditions to give you some ideas for making the holiday dates your own!

1.  Driving the Lights
I look up, ask around and get a list of a few neighborhoods that have great lights.  Chris and I pack up in the car snuggled up in winter clothes.  I pack up a thermos of Hot Chocolate, Cider or whatever beverage of you prefer.  And if you're anything like me you crank up the Christmas music!

2.  Walking amidst the bussle
I love walking around the Christmas sections of stores. We have a local mall that decks their halls to the point of near "North Pole" quaility so it's always a great option but I love just the simplicity  of walking down the isles of Target's or pretty any department store's Christmas section. We walk slowly down the isles hand in hand point here and there over the things that we like or who they make us think of.

3.  Ornament's all your own
Chris and I always make a ornament each year... or tweak an ornament.  The first year we were married we went to a pottery store and painted one, the next year I hand made stockings for each of us and made a mini stocking for our tree.  The next year we painted a wood ornament.  There are endless options!  You could go as simple as picking an ornament you both love and using a marker on the bottom to make it personal!

4. Movie night: Christmas edition
Pull out all your Christmas movies/go to redbox/blockbuster/etc... after you pick out the movie make sure you have the snacks of your choosing.  Then sit down on the couch, snuggled up with some blankets and enjoy the silly of a bad Christmas movie or be uplifted by a good one... there really is no loosing as long as your attitude is right!

Live. Love. Loud.
